Singapore Xbox fans, your wait is over: Xbox One pre-order bundles and launch info revealed

Wake up, Microsoft fans in Singapore, because your time has come! The Xbox One will launch in the city-state nearly a year after the competing Playstation 4 landed on its shores, and it looks like Microsoft is trying to make up for that lapse.

Fans won’t just be getting a launch event in Funan Digitalife Mall on September 23. They will also be privy to not one, but two pre-order bundles for the console.

The Xbox One launch console bundle will include the console with a 500GB hard drive, blu-ray player and built-in wi-fi, an Xbox One wireless controller, a chat headset, a HDMI cable, a free two week trial of Xbox Live Gold for new members, and a digital copy of FIFA 15. This will set you back S$639 ($513).

Then there’s the Xbox One launch Kinect bundle, which will include all of the above, plus the new Kinect and a copy of Dance Central Spotlight for S$739 ($594). Dance Central Spotlight is a new digital-only edition of the Dance Central series.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Project Spark, Forza Horizon, and the highly-anticipatedSunset Overdrive will launch during the holiday season this year.

Another pre-order promotion is the Xbox One essentials kit, which will add an Xbox One wireless controller, the game Titanfall, and a year-long Xbox Live Gold membership for just S$169 ($136). Paying for any of these pre-order items with a DBS or POSB card will award you a Microsoft gift card worth S$24 ($19). All these pre-order bundles are available at major retail outlets starting today, while the online store will begin taking orders on August 20, 2014. Do note, you still get the gift card if you order online with a DBS or POSB card—simply print out the receipt and save it for after September 24. Collection of the Xbox One pre-order bundles will start at 1:00 P.M. (GMT +8) on launch day at Funan Digitalife Mall’s atrium, with exclusive Xbox fan gear worth S$189 ($152) included in every console collection.
