SG sustainability startup nets $500k in pre-seed round

- Founded in 2020, Waste Labs aims to optimize the waste collection process using its AI-based platform.
- Since its inception, the startup has implemented more than 10 projects in partnership with various waste management firms and other organizations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and the UK to solve problems involving general and recyclable waste, including food, plastics, cardboard, and electronics.
- The company is now looking to grow its product capabilities and build a globally scalable tech platform, Waste Labs co-founder and CEO Vladimir Chuchkin said in a statement.
- Waste Labs is also one of nine deeptech startups selected for Entrepreneur First’s seventh Singapore cohort.
