We have been using Yahoo meme for a few days now and as promised, we are going to tell you what we think about it. Twitter has set the bar considerably high for any new micro-blogging entrants. For meme, it’s either impress the users or fail.
We are going to make a head to head comparison between meme and Twitter but as usual, you have the final say to what you think and prefer. What’s important is that you share it with the rest of us!
Let”s get started!
1. Design & Layout
Displayed very clearly by the snapshots below, meme’s layout is much less cluttered and more sophisticated compared to Twitter’s. The visuals, which can be uploaded directly as your updates, add to the overall aesthetics. Twitter, on the other hand, only allows text and links making it less pleasing to the eye.
However, it is good to note that meme does not allow profile customization. That means no fancy backgrounds and themes to play with and therefore, less flexibility.

2. Convenience
We can practically tweet anywhere using mobile Internet and text messages. Got something to say? Just tweet it. It’s that easy and it’s one of the reasons why Twitter is so successful.
By allowing videos and pictures to be posted directly (plus no text limit), it is extremely unfriendly to third party applications. Without these applications, slow adoption and infrequent use of meme would not be surprising.
