Adtech startup gets funding to sell you stuff on your second screen

Traditional advertising media like TV, radio, out-of-home advertising (OOH), and cinema as well as digital networks, function independently even though they serve content and ads to the same consumers. Singapore-based Eywa Media measures consumer response and engagement across multi-screen ads. It can prompt you to buy things on your phone because it’s listening to an ad on your TV.
The startup today announced that it secured a seed round of US$1 million from Ah Ventures, US-based Viktor Koenig PE Fund, and Mantra Ventures.
“Their technology of identifying TV, radio, OOH, and digital advertisements and programs on the basis of audio wavelength and pushing notifications on mobile device in real time is a stage apart,” says Abhijeet Kumar, founding partner of Ah Ventures.
The two-year-old startup will use the fresh funding to expand to the US, UK, Luxembourg, UAE, and Hong Kong. Right now, the startup caters to brands, broadcasters, retailers, advertisers, and production houses in Singapore and Mumbai.
Over time, it plans to introduce analytics for helping clients with better choices on retargeting, attribution, lead conversion, and consumer demographics.
The startup was incubated at Kyron Accelerator.
