Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment revives a character from the grave
It seems that Dengeki Bunko did a comic book revival with their latest character reveal for their upcoming 3D RPG, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment. The new character, Sachi who died midway through the anime, is back as part of the game’s character roster.
Details of her escaping death and her relevance to the game are still unknown. The report also doesn’t mention if she will retain the shy personality or skills you saw in the anime, or if she will be able to be used as a partner in missions. We are left guesing for now.
Aside from Sachi’s reveal, the update also added more details about the Burst Gauge system in Hollow Fragment. The burst gauge works as your action meter in battle and depletes whenever you evade or attack. The report mentions that the meter does fill up, but doesn’t say how. This means that taking down enemies would require precise, well-thought out attacks instead of just diving in and winging it.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is set to be released in Japan for the PS Vita this coming April 24, 2014. There is still no news if the game’s going to get an international release.
