500 Million Facebook Friends to Sina Weibo [VIDEO]

The movie, The Social Network, a.k.a Facebook movie has a lot of spoofs. If you thought you have seen it all, wait till you see this video which is spreading virally on Sina Weibo. The video, however, is mostly in Chinese. Below is a short description in English, though.

The video starts by showing a conversation where Mark Zuckerberg complains that his 500 million friends have gone. The answer, according to the video is Sina Weibo, a popular microblog in China with 140 million users.

In a hilarious fashion, the video features famous figures like U.S President Barack Obama, Leonardo Dicaprio, Bill Gates and Osama Bin Laden (infamous), literally putting words into their mouth. “Yes Weibo can” by Barack Obama is my favorite line in this video. Well, if Sina Weibo were to dominate the world, one advantage highlighted in the video is that users need not go through VPN to connect with their friends in China. Enjoy.

Our initial thought was that this was made by someone at Sina. But we have have no official confirmation that this is the case.
