Singapore will develop Southeast Asia’s first large language model, which will be catered to the region’s different cultures and languages. The S$70 million (US$52 million) project will be handled by the Infocomm Media Development Authority along with AI Singapore and the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research.

It aims to launch the model over the next two years.
