Alibaba DAMO Academy has introduced SeaLLMs, large language models designed to cater to Southeast Asia’s language diversity.

The LLMs come in several versions – each carrying 13 billion or 7 billion parameters – and optimize support for languages including Thai, Malay, and Indonesian.

Open-sourced on Hugging Face, the models can be used for research and commercial purposes.
