WeRide, a Chinese autonomous driving firm, has received the first national license for self-driving vehicles from the United Arab Emirates. This permit allows the company to test its Level 4 autonomous vehicles on public roads across UAE as part of the nation’s plan to make 25% of its transport fully autonomous by 2030.
