Vietnamese authorities allege that TikTok fails to block illegal content, including harmful content for children. They request the removal of accounts belonging to children under 13 and restrictions for users under 18.

TikTok has pledged to continue working with local authorities to address these concerns.

About 77.5% of the country’s online users aged 16 to 64 use TikTok, ranking it third among the most popular social media platforms in Vietnam in Q3 last year.
