China-based 01.AI, which was founded by AI expert Kai-Fu Lee earlier this year, has released Yi-34B, an open-source large language model (LLM) that can be accessed in both English and Chinese.

According to tests done by AI community platform Hugging Face, Yi-34B ranked first among pre-trained LLMs in several metrics.
