Rox Motor Tech, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has secured US$1 billion from local textiles firm Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group.

The company plans to use the funds for the production of EVs with all-aluminum bodies. It recently unveiled its first vehicle model, the Polestone 01.
