Apple now requires new applications to present evidence of a Chinese government license before being listed on its China App Store.

To legally operate in China, an app must be registered with the internet content provider filing system, which local app stores have adopted since 2017. Apple’s move aligns with the country’s stricter regulations on mobile apps introduced in August.
