AMD has revealed its Instinct MI300 series of AI processors, including the MI300X accelerator for generative AI. The chips are designed to support data centers and challenge Nvidia’s market dominance. However, AMD’s stock fell by more than 3% after the announcement. CEO Lisa Su predicts that the total addressable market for data center AI accelerators will increase to over $150 billion by 2027.
