Yiping Goh launches spatial design AI startup
Yiping Goh (right) – who was most recently a Temasek-backed Singaporean immersive entertainment group’s senior vice president – announced on LinkedIn that she is now co-founder and CEO of Formas.AI, a spatial design AI startup.
Goh was in charge of Neon’s global production and operations until February 2026. Prior to Neon, she was Quest Ventures’ partner and board member of several startups under the VC firm.
Alongside her fellow co-founder and husband Carlos Bañón, Formas.AI aims to build an AI-native design studio for spatial design, serving architects, interior, real estate, and digital twin teams.
The company said it is running a 16-week public beta. The startup is recruiting for roles in AI-first product, engineering, forward-deployed design/implementation, marketing, and design, including both FTEs and interns.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Formas.AI joins a market already shifting under Autodesk’s Forma
- FORMAS.AI arrives in a field that already includes Autodesk, whose product Forma serves architects and planning teams 1, 2.
- Autodesk Forma brings real-time environmental analysis such as sun and wind data into early design work tied to Revit 1.
- FORMAS.AI calls itself an “AI orchestrator,” using models such as Gemini and Luma to turn sketches or files into images, 3D models, plus videos 3.
- The company also says the tool is not a “prompt-only experience,” with an emphasis on continuity and control 3.
AI orchestrators could shift how software competes
- The launch fits a wider move away from single, general-purpose AI models toward orchestration layers that pull several best-in-class tools into one workflow 3.
- In architecture, interior design, real estate, plus digital twin work, value leans toward workflow fit and business outcomes, including one testimonial that claims a competition effort took 72 hours rather than three weeks and won 4.
- This approach can bundle multiple subscriptions into one platform built around outcomes, which steers competition toward time saved 4.
- Hiring for “forward-deployed” roles hints that traction may depend on self-serve SaaS paired with hands-on implementation for complex design and construction work.
