Sequoia’s Surge co-leads $5.2m round of Indian construction management app
India-based construction management app Powerplay announced it has raised US$5.2 million in its latest round of funding.

- According to the company, its platform is currently being used by over 35,000 contractors across 800 cities in India. It has also managed over 5,000 projects on its platform to date.
- Powerplay is part of the 23 companies in Surge’s fifth cohort, which is the largest to date.
- The company is a mobile-first construction site management app that lets project managers and workers communicate and collaborate more effectively. It also helps these parties monitor their progress, deliverables, and payments across projects.
- For contractors, the platform helps them track employee attendance, conduct budgeting and invoicing, and manage materials as well.
