The region’s largest fighting game tournament, the South East Asia Major 2014, is almost upon us, and it’s still not done loading up on its hype train.
A new event trailer has announced the attendance of Mike Ross and Jayce the Ace, who will be flying in all the way from California. Mike Ross attended SEA Major 2013 with Justin “jwong” Wong, though it looks like Evil Geniuses’ fighting game genius won’t be attending this year…unless organizers Tough Cookie TV are saving the best announcements for last!

Bandai Namco Games Singapore has also generously topped up the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 prize pot with a whopping S$1,000 ($800). This fat wad of cash will go to the first place winner, with the second to fourth place winners receiving 50 percent, 30 percent, and 20 percent of the pot respectively.
Additionally, Razer is buffing the Hearthstone tournament with casual peripheral giveaways for registered players. Each registered player will receive a card pack code for free, and there will be a rock-paper-scissors contest every so often where the same registered players will be able to win the following:
- Razer Ouroboros
- Razer Deathstalkers (3)
- Razer Blacksharks (3)
- Razer shirts (15)
- Razer hoodies (4)
Pre-registration for SEA Major 2014 has already closed, but you can still sign up for sure. Just head down to the venue an hour before your tournament-of-choice kicks off! We’ll see you there.
