League of Legends players in Southeast Asia are probably aware of the recent server issues that shut down Garena’s operation of the popular game for a little while. But now your patience in putting up with that nonsense is paying off, as Garena has announced a double IP/XP boost on this Friday (May 9) to compensate for the disturbance.
The double XP/IP boost will be available simply by logging into and playing the game on Friday between the hours of 8 P.M. and midnight. Sure, that’s a pretty short time-frame, but it’s long enough to get at least four Summoner’s Rift games in, and quite a few more if you’re into playing Twisted Treeline, Dominion, or ARAM games.

In light of the server disruption on 3 May around late evening, the LoL team was deeply sorry for the disruption that lead to an emergency server maintenance which caused summoners unable to join the league for a short period of time. To show our appreciation for your understanding and patience during the downtime, the LoL team would like to launch a special Double IP/XP boost on this Friday, 9 May, from 8pm until 12am (GMT +8).
