Hello readers,
Things are looking up for the maturing Southeast Asian startup scene.
A recent report by Golden Gate Ventures projected that the region will see a whopping 468 exit events between 2020 and 2022.
If the report holds true, you can expect this regular newsletter to get progressively longer over the next few months.
According to Tech in Asia data, the ecosystem has witnessed 70 exits in the form of mergers and acquisitions from 2020 to date. That number excludes liquidations and – interestingly – public listings, which we’ve yet to see take place since the start of last year.
But that’s sure to change as a number of startups across the region have recently announced their plans for an initial public offering. You can keep track of IPOs we’ll see this year in this article, which we’ll keep updated as we hear more from the scene.
Until then, you can find all other important investment deals that happened in the last few days in our weekly funding news wrap-up.

Let’s dive into the biggest deals and M&As that recently took place.
