In brief: Hong Kong VR startup nabs $68m from Andreessen Horowitz
Hong Kong virtual reality startup Sandbox VR has raised US$68 million in a series A funding round led by US-based venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. Alibaba, Floodgate Ventures, Stanford University, Triplepoint Capital, and CRCM joined the round.
The startup will use the cash infusion to launch new VR centers in New York and Tokyo. It is currently operating in six cities, including Hong Kong, Singapore, California, and Vancouver.
