Salesforce agrees to buy Fin for $3.6b to boost AI

Salesforce said on June 15 that it had agreed to buy Fin for about US$3.6 billion to strengthen its enterprise AI business.

The deal is expected to close in the company’s fiscal 2027 fourth quarter. Shares of Salesforce rose 1.1% in premarket trading in New York.

Public materials describe Fin as an AI customer service product that can work with existing help desks, including Salesforce and Zendesk.

However they do not show Fin as a standalone company with a disclosed funding history, valuation, or customer count.

The acquisition is expected to complement Salesforce’s Agentforce. The company said Agentforce already spans sales, service, marketing, and commerce, and connects AI agents to enterprise data through Data Cloud.

Salesforce’s acquisitions page lists Fin among several recent AI-related deals.
