Razorpay buys payment firm IZealiant Technologies

The fintech unicorn is absorbing the startup’s entire team as part of the deal, The Economic Times reported. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

This is Razorpay’s fifth acquisition overall. The deal comes after it made its first acquisition outside India last month with Malaysia’s Curlec.

Razorpay’s valuation hit US$6.7 billion last year following a US$270 million round.

Zomato acquires 16.7% stake in food robotics firm

The US$5 million deal will see the food delivery company scale Mukanda Foods’ products across restaurants.

Founded in 2012, Mukunda Foods develops automated food preparation via smart robotics. It has products for producing soups and liquids, rice and noodles, and also for cooking food items.

Zomato has previously invested in startups like Shiprocket, Magicpin, and Curefit as part of its plans to inject US$1 billion into young companies.
