TiE Singapore and SmartKapital is organizing a workshop called “Start-Up Finance“. This one-day workshop is shaped according to the Principles of Adult Learning Theory, and will involve experiental learning through the application of new concepts to your own case studies. Your own business/venture will be your case study.
This workshop aims to give you the following skills:
- Know how to forecast revenue;
- Understand cost behaviour and determine your break-even point;
- Understand what the various financial ratios mean and tell about your business/venture; and
- Understand the expenses of your business/venture so that you know your financing needs.
- As highlighed before, this workshop is very hands-on. Following some pre-workshop preparation, you will use the tools (mostly built on Microsoft Excel) that you are introduced to in the workshop on your own business/venture; and put together the basic financial information about it.
Participants will also be introduced to basic concepts of valuation and showed how to utilize them.
