Indonesian fitness startup banks pre-series A money after expanding into online classes

Indonesian fitness and sports startup Doogether said it has secured an undisclosed amount of funding in its latest round after expanding into live online classes amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

More funding details

  • Investors: AsianTrust Capital, Prasetia Dwidharma, and Alexander Rusli, former CEO of telecommunications firm Indosat Ooredoo
  • Stage: Pre-series A

More company updates

  • Doogether plans to use the new funds to create or improve products and services on its app, said CEO Fauzan Gani.
  • Established in 2016, the company started out by offering workout-booking services. It has since expanded to offering food delivery through Doofood and livestreamed online classes through Doolive.
  • Since Doolive was launched last year, Doogether app’s monthly active users increased 77x from early 2020 through the first quarter of 2021.
  • The latest investment comes after Doogether raised an undisclosed amount of seed money in 2019 in a round led by Gobi-Agung, the early-stage, Indonesia-focused fund of venture capital firm Gobi Partners.
