SINGAPORE – 9 SEP 2026 – XForge Mobile today launched Atli, an AI-powered travel connectivity platform that lets travelers discover, purchase and activate travel eSIMs through WhatsApp and Telegram.

The idea is simple:

Tell Atli where you’re going.

A traveler messages:

“I’m going to Japan for seven days.”

Atli recommends a suitable data plan, takes the traveler through payment and guides activation – all beginning inside the same conversation.

Instead of asking travelers to find another eSIM app, browse plan menus and compare gigabytes, Atli brings connectivity into messaging apps travelers already use throughout their trips.

“The travel eSIM industry is still fighting for app downloads. We think there’s a much bigger opportunity,” said Peter Hoang, Co-founder and CEO of XForge Mobile. “WhatsApp already has more than three billion users. Instead of asking travelers to find and download another app, Atli brings connectivity directly to where they already are.”

Every link becomes a storefront

Travel eSIM providers acquire customers through search, paid advertising, affiliates and app stores. Atli introduces a different model: conversational distribution.

A travel creator shares an Atli link with followers. A hotel places a QR code at reception. An airline includes it in a booking confirmation. A travel agent sends it to customers before departure. One tap opens the chat, and Atli takes the traveler from destination to activated eSIM.

Virtually any link or QR code becomes an eSIM distribution point – with no app install required on either side.

“Our goal is to make distributing connectivity as easy as sharing a link,” Hoang said. “A creator, hotel or travel partner should be able to send someone straight into a conversation where they get connected. The link becomes the storefront.”

For XForge Mobile, this conversational distribution model could create an alternative to the search advertising, affiliate networks and app-store acquisition that dominate much of the travel eSIM industry today.

Connectivity is step one

Atli – named for Artificial Travel Intelligence – is being built as more than an eSIM sales interface. The company’s broader goal is an AI travel companion that remains useful throughout the journey. Getting online is among the first things travelers need after crossing a border, and Atli is starting there before expanding into recommendations, discovery and other travel services delivered through the same conversation.

Atli currently covers travel connectivity across 200+ countries, with eSIMs delivered digitally.

“eSIM access is only step one,” Hoang said. “You shouldn’t have to think about which app to open or which site to search. You should just be able to ask.”

Most AI travel assistants are strongest before the trip: they help travelers research destinations, generate itineraries and discover places to visit.

XForge Mobile is starting somewhere different – with a transaction.

“AI is already very good at telling you what you could do,” Hoang said. “We are interested in what happens when the assistant can actually help make something happen. Connectivity is a natural place to start because it is one of the first things a traveler needs.”

After purchasing an eSIM, the traveler can return to the same Atli conversation to check data, top up or prepare connectivity for another destination.

Over time, XForge Mobile plans to add additional travel capabilities around that relationship, including rewards, payments and other services that can be handled conversationally.

“Connectivity is the wedge, not the destination,” Hoang said. “The ambition is for Atli to stay with the traveler from the first message to the last day of the trip.”

Connecting Physical and Digital Travel
