Puzzle and Dragons makes GungHo lots of money! (But you already knew that)

A recent financial report released by GungHo Online Entertainment shows that the company has had a phenomenal year. In the past fiscal year ending December 15, 2013, GungHo saw an 881.9% increase in profit, which comes to a grand 91,228,000,000 Yen, or $870,840,000.

The crux of this came from the massive success of Puzzle and Dragons, which was downloaded over 22,000,000 times and never once left the top ten spot in Japan’s Apple Store. Puzzle and Dragons Z came out for the 3DS just 8 days before the end of the fiscal year but still sold 8,000,000 copies in that time.

The company had a good year, but will its success hold? We’re looking forward to seeing what GungHo has in store for the new year.
