Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney finally gets an English release date

Finally, after nearly two years of waiting since its Japan release, the cross-over title Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney will get it’s English version release March 28, 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.

Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney puts the two heroes and their partners, Luke Triton and Maya Fey, together as they try to save Espella Cantabella from being condemned as a witch in the world of Labyrinthia. A world where the the four of them were transported to as they independently crossed paths with Espella.

The game combines key gameplay elements from the two titles. Layton will focus on solving mysteries and puzzles while exploring Labyrinthia. Wright on the other hand will be doing what he does best, defending the accused Espella in Labyrinthia’s court of law.

Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney will add hint coins, a staple in the Professor Layton series, to Wright’s arsenal which will help narrow down options while presenting evidence or providing helpful options while cross-examining witnesses. Picarat collecting, another staple in the Professor Layton series will also be included in the new game, and will unlock exclusive game artwork, music and even 12 new episodes to play through.

Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney will be released as a downloadable game through the Nintendo e-shop as well as through game retailers.
