Chinese gamers rage at designer Greg Street over League of Legends changes

When former World of Warcraft designer Greg Street was announced as Riot’s new lead designer for League of Legends, Chinese gamers were not impressed. But with a few months under his belt as lead designer, has opinion of Mr. Street changed among Chinese LoL players? Nope, not at all.

The impetus for the complaints this time was this amusing Twitter exchange, which has been translated and published as news on major Chinese gaming site 17173:

The comments section on that article, though, has become a place for frustrated gamers to vent about Street. Here are some of the comments on the article as of now. (Note: Street has been nicknamed ‘crab’ by Chinese gamers).

Qixue:

Garbage designer, no wonder Blizzard fired him…

(Note: Street says that he wasn’t fired or asked to step down).

Ice Cream Feeling:

He destroyed WOW, now he’s come to destroy LOL
