There are more than 3,300 hospitals and 10,000 clinics across Indonesia. But despite that number, President Joko Widodo recently said that many still opt to seek medical treatment overseas.
As such, the government wants to improve the quality of its healthcare services by adopting tech more widely, among other measures. Jakarta-headquartered Zi.Care contributes to this effort with its medical records digitalization services.
The company has just raised US$2 million in the first tranche of its series A funding round.
