Peak XV invests $15m in Indian voice startup Ringg AI
Bengaluru-based Ringg AI, which builds AI agents for customer conversations and the business workflows that follow, said on August 26 that it closed an extended series A round of US$15 million.
Peak XV Partners led the extension, with participation from Arkam Ventures, and Capital 2b.
Ringg AI said it will use the funding to expand its voice, WhatsApp, and browser agents.
It will also invest further in its speech-to-text models and other AI systems while accelerating enterprise sales efforts in India and overseas.
The company had previously announced a US$5.5 million series A round.
Ringg AI said its agents are already in production at enterprises including Policybazaar, CRED, Flipkart, Groww, Practo, and Tabby, across sectors such as marketplaces, healthcare, banking, fintech, and information technology.
The funding comes amid broader activity in India’s voice AI segment, where startup Bolna recently raised US$6.3 million in seed funding.
For enterprises using WhatsApp-based outreach, business messaging typically requires opt-in, while India’s data-protection rules can add obligations around consent and data handling.
