In brief: Paytm partners with Zomato to enable in-app food ordering
Digital payments major Paytm has partnered with online restaurant discovery and food-delivery platform Zomato to enable food delivery through its app.
Paytm, with its strong user base in tier two and three locations in India, intends to bring this offering to customers who might not have the Zomato application and thereby push uptake among a larger user base.

The feature has gone live in Delhi and surrounding areas, with rollout across India expected soon, according to Paytm.
The payment app’s parent company, One97 Communications, counts Alibaba, SoftBank, and Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway among its investors.
Alibaba is also an investor in Zomato, alongside its affiliate Ant Financial, Sequoia Capital, and Singapore sovereign fund Temasek.
