In Brief: Paytm to invest $105m to reach 250 million monthly active users in 2020
- Digital payments firm Paytm said it will invest around US$105 million to reach 250 million monthly active users (MAUs) on mobile by March 2020, Livemint reported.
- The company, backed by Alibaba and SoftBank, expects its Paytm Inbox service, which has garnered 27 million MAUs, to accelerate the growth.
- Paytm currently has around 140 million MAUs.
- The company also has plans to start content, news, short videos, and live television on its app in September.
