Animoca launches mobile MMORPG Ragnarok: War of Gods, currently 2nd top grossing game on Google Play

One of the most popular MMORPGs finally sees the light of the day on mobile as Animoca launches NEO CYON’s Ragnarok: War of Gods for Android. After just one day in the app store, it is already the second top grossing game in the Google Play Store, right behind Candy Crush Saga.
Ragnarok: War of Gods is based on the MMORPG Ragnarok Online for PC, which was first released in Korea on August 31, 2002 and is still playable more than ten years later. The game grew popular enough to warrant a sequel, Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second, and even had its own animated series, Ragnarok the Animation

Except for some understandable differences in screen layout and game capabilities, Ragnarok: War of Gods looks exactly like Ragnarok Online. This includes the interface, the character design, the environment and the game mechanics. It even has the same system for the skill tree and the status points. Initially, however, there are only three job classes for Ragnarok: War of Gods instead of the original six from Ragnarok Online. A player may take the role of a Swordsman, Mage or Acolyte, all of which are designed exactly as they appeared in Ragnarok Online.

The game also has four servers to choose from and players may form parties with up to three members for dungeons, quests, farming and boss hunts. For the competitive players, there is also a PvP arena where you can test your strength and equipment against other players.
Ragnarok: War of Gods is free to download from the Google Play Store and offers in-app purchases using real money.
