Pakistan-based online booking platform Bookme raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-series A funding round led by local venture capital firm Lakson Investments Venture Capital (LIVC).
The startup plans to use the fresh funds to scale its operations across Pakistan and further develop its platform.

The company works with bus operators, theaters, and event planners to digitize seat maps, ticketing, and payments. It’s looking to ride the wave of digital payments and smartphone adoption in Pakistan, where it currently has integrations with major payment platforms, including JazzCash, EasyPaisa, HBL, Alfalah, Allied Bank, and FonePay.
Bookme said it also expects its commuter bus segment to grow due to the upcoming road infrastructure investments through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
LIVC managing partner Faisal Aftab, Lakson Investments CEO Babar Lakhani, and Khurram Samad will join Bookme’s board of directors.
