- Indian grocery e-tailer BigBasket has closed a US$150 million funding round led by South Korea’s Mirae Asset Global Investments, along with UK government-owned CDC Group and existing backer Alibaba, regulatory filings show.
- The round values the company at a little over US$1.2 billion.
- While its competitors typically use the marketplace model, BigBasket offers private-label products and supply chain integration for its fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats businesses.
