In brief: Online meat retailer FreshtoHome bags $20m in series B round
- Indian online fresh fish and meat retailer FreshtoHome raised US$20 million in a series B round led by venture growth fund Iron Pillar, with participation from Japanese investor Joe Hirao, Livemint reported.
- The startup plans to use the new funds to fuel its expansion into other cities in India and the UAE and diversify its product offerings to accommodate other categories such as fruits, vegetables, oils, and dairy products.
- The company claims to have 650,000 customers in the UAE and nine cities in India, receiving 14,000 orders daily.
- FreshtoHome previously banked US$11 million in its series A round led by CE Ventures.
