Ola may proceed with IPO in first half of 2022
“Mobility major Ola is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) in the first half of 2022,” Entrackr reported, citing two people aware of the company’s plan.
Details:
- The Indian firm is reportedly in discussions with bankers to potentially list within the next six to eight months.
- Ola’s plan to go public is set to be presented for approval to the company’s board in the next few weeks, sources added.
Dive deeper:
- It was recently reported that Ola was looking to enter the used-car retailing segment with the launch of Ola Cars. The new undertaking is slated to start as a pilot project in Bengaluru in the second half of August.
- The plans for a public listing come after Ola raised US$500 million in a round led by Temasek and a Warburg Pincus affiliate earlier this month.
