NMA’s Take on Valve entering the console wars

The Taiwanese animators from New Media Animation poked fun Valve’s recent announcement of the Steam OS, which is likely Valve’s first step towards the already competitive console gaming arena.

To be honest the video does hold some truth. The death of Mario represents Nintendo’s declining performance in the console market and XBox’s Master Chief represents its ability to stay competitive. The video is also right that the release of another cloud-based console from Valve could mean tough competition for other similar products like the OUYA, since Steam already boasts a massive library of games and support servers all around the globe, including Asia. In fact, the Valve console might even present some competition in Asian region for Playstation’s upcoming VITA TV, which would leave the OUYA very little space to catch up.
