In brief: India healthtech startup nets $6m from Dream Incubator, Beenext, and more

Niramai Health Analytix, an Indian AI-powered healthtech startup, announced that it has closed US$6 million in a series A round led by Japanese venture capital firm Dream Incubator, with participation from Beenext. Existing investors Pi Ventures, Ankur Capital, Axilor Ventures, and Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal also participated in the round.

Niramai plans to scale its business in India and hire more talent using the freshly raised capital. It’s also seeking additional regulatory approvals for international expansion.

Founded in 2016, Niramai uses Thermalytix, its AI-powered patented technology, to detect early-stage breast cancer. The solution claims to provide a non-contact, non-invasive, and radiation-free screening that is accurate, affordable, and accessible.
