Managing your finances can be difficult, and many of us can’t afford to hire a consultant. Earlier this year we covered how Indonesia-based, NgaturDuit, can help you manage your expenses and budget.
Almost half a year has passed and NgaturDuit has undergone some changes, and has begun a collaboration with Detik. We talked to Api Perdana, the co-founder of NgaturDuit to find out more about the start-up’s recent developments.
1. Can you share any recent stats about NgaturDuit? How are things after the Detik collaboration?
We are currently keeping some of our user stats confidential for strategic reasons. What I can inform you is that we currently have 30,000 to 40,000 unique visitors per day. This is after we had the “free financial checkup” displayed on detikfinance.com as one of our collaborations with detik.com. Before that we only had around 4,000-5,000 per day so the “Detik effect” has been quite substantial for us. As mentioned above, the financial checkup feature is only one of our collaboration features with Detik. I will definitely let you know when we can share updates on this.
2. You have scored some media coverage in The Jakarta Globe recently? What was that about?
Joining competitions have always been one of our strategies to gain exposure. So far we have competed in IMULAI 3.0 (Microsoft & USAID), Echelon 2011 (e27), Online Entrepreneur Award (CIMB Niaga), and GEPI (RES). This strategy has been, in our opinion, quite successful as we have been covered by no fewer than ten major media publications, both online and offline, which allows us to get the word out about NgaturDuit.
3. Any mobile apps for NgaturDuit?
We have developed an Android app. The application itself is ready and we’re waiting for the right time to launch it.
