Zoom rolls out ZoomMate agentic AI work surface
Zoom launched ZoomMate on June 1 in North America, introducing an AI work surface that uses meeting context to search company data, create documents and presentations, and trigger actions across apps including Salesforce, Jira, Slack, ServiceNow, Google and Microsoft tools.
The product is generally available to online and direct customers in the region for US$20 per user per month, including AI credits. Access will roll out gradually.
The company said ZoomMate can pull information before meetings, update records after calls, and generate presentations, documents, spreadsheets, reports, and project plans from meeting and enterprise context.
Zoom has published documentation on how AI features handle data and how enterprises can control shadow AI, but the available materials do not say whether customer content is used for model training or what detailed admin permission controls are available.
Rivals already integrate search, document creation, and agent-like actions into workplace suites as paid add-ons.
The company expects a wider rollout to Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific later this year. The European expansion comes as the European Union’s AI Act affects organizations that use or provide AI in the bloc, including for internal deployments.
