Zomato parent Eternal hits 2025 high on 12% Q1 share jump
Eternal’s shares jumped 12% to 299 rupees (US$3,46) on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after reporting a 70% year-on-year revenue surge, led by its quick commerce segment.
The company, led by Deepinder Goyal, announced that its quick commerce business outperformed its core food delivery segment.
This performance was evident in both revenue and Gross Order Value (GOV).
Blinkit, its quick commerce division, reported a GOV of 11,821 crore rupees (US$1.3 million), a 140% year-on-year increase.
This contrasts with 10,769 crore rupees (US$1.2 million) from food delivery operations.
Blinkit added 243 stores in the quarter, bringing the total to 1,544, and doubled its monthly transacting users to 16.9 million, with plans to reach 3,000 stores.
Despite growth, Blinkit posted a 42 crore rupees (US$4.8 million) loss, narrower than 82 crore (US$9.4 million) in March 2025, and analysts expect margin gains and possible EBITDA breakeven by Q3 FY26.
