The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has found that food delivery companies Zomato and Swiggy violated competition laws.

The investigation revealed their business practices, such as exclusivity contracts and price parity agreements, may have hindered market competition.

The investigation began in 2022 after a complaint from the National Restaurant Association of India.

Zomato’s shares fell 3% following the report. While Zomato declined to comment, Swiggy and the CCI did not respond to queries.
