Yum Brands, Nvidia debut AI tech for Taco Bell, Pizza Hut orders
Yum Brands, the parent company of Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Habit Burger & Grill, has partnered with Nvidia to introduce AI into its drive-thru and call center operations.
This collaboration marks Nvidia’s first AI-focused partnership in the restaurant sector.
The AI technology will be integrated through Yum Brands’ “Byte by Yum” platform to improve the customer experience. Key features of the AI integration include voice-automated order-taking for drive-thru lanes and call centers, along with analytics to enhance order accuracy and evaluate restaurant performance.
Joe Park, Yum Brands’ chief digital and technology officer, noted that AI solutions are currently being tested at select Taco Bell and Pizza Hut locations.
A wider rollout to about 500 restaurants is set to begin in the second quarter of 2025.
