YouTube has added Amazon.com as an affiliate partner for YouTube Shopping, allowing creators to tag Amazon products in videos and livestreams and earn commissions as the Alphabet unit pushes further into ecommerce.

YouTube launched its affiliate business in the US in 2024 and later expanded it to India, Southeast Asia, the UK, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.

YouTube Shopping chief Travis Katz said more than 1 million of the roughly 3 million creators eligible to make money on YouTube are now part of the shopping program.

Creators previously could not easily tag Amazon products on YouTube Shopping. The deal follows a similar agreement that TikTok struck with Amazon two years earlier.
