Y Combinator backs AI avatar firm Lemon Slice in $10.5m seed round
Lemon Slice, a digital avatar generation startup, has raised US$10.5 million in seed funding from Matrix Partners, Y Combinator, Dropbox CTO Arash Ferdowsi, Twitch CEO Emmett Shear, and The Chainsmokers.
Founded in 2024, Lemon Slice develops AI models that create digital avatars from a single image, allowing these avatars to interact through video in various use cases such as education, language learning, ecommerce, and corporate training.
The new funding will be used to hire engineering and go-to-market staff, and pay for the compute needed to train its models.
