Shuttle, a startup developing AI-powered back-end infrastructure tools, has raised US$6 million in seed funding from Y Combinator and Global Founders Capital.

The round also included several tech figures, including former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke and Segment founder Calvin French-Owen.

The company aims to simplify the process of building and deploying back-end systems for developers using AI platforms.

Shuttle’s platform is used by tens of thousands of developers and has processed over 130,000 deployments, mainly for Rust-based back ends.

The new funding will be used to expand support for more programming languages and integrate more deeply with AI coding tools, with a beta version of its updated platform set to launch in the coming weeks.
