Y Combinator-backed Indian voice AI firm Bolna nets $6.3m round
Bolna, a Bengaluru-based voice AI startup, has raised US$6.3 million in seed funding led by General Catalyst, with participation from Y Combinator and other investors.
Founded in 2024, Bolna builds a platform that lets enterprises create and deploy voice AI agents without deep AI expertise.
The platform supports over 10 Indian languages and works well in noisy environments and regional accents.
The funding will be used to expand the team and invest in proprietary AI systems for vernacular voice interactions.
Since its commercial launch in May 2025, Bolna has scaled from 1,500 to more than 200,000 daily calls. It now serves over 1,050 customers across ecommerce, BFSI, and logistics.
The company highlights its orchestration layer that routes calls to best-fit models across languages and use cases. Its main focus remains India, where over one billion voice calls are handled daily using mostly legacy systems.
