Xiaomi-backed chipmaker Amicro eyes over $100m HK IPO

Zhuhai Amicro Technology, a Zhuhai-based chipmaker backed by Xiaomi, is preparing to start premarketing for a Hong Kong initial public offering worth more than US$100 million as early as this week, according to people familiar with the matter.

The sources said the company is targeting a mid-October debut.

The sources added that Amicro passed its listing hearing with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing last week, meeting the final regulatory requirement for a share sale in the city.

HKEX records show Amicro has yet to publish a public listing document, so the company’s financial details remain undisclosed.

The sources said bookbuilding could begin as soon as next week.

If the deal proceeds on that schedule, it would add another Chinese technology listing in Hong Kong.
