Xiaomi recalls nearly 117k SU7 EVs in China after fatal crash
Xiaomi is recalling 116,877 of its SU7 EVs in China due to flaws in their driver-assistance software, following a fatal accident involving the model about six months ago.
The recall affects SU7 vehicles produced between February 6, 2024, and August 30, 2025, as announced by the State Administration for Market Regulation.
The regulator said the software may not adequately detect and warn drivers in certain scenarios, as per the standards of Level 2 self-driving systems.
Xiaomi, a Beijing-based electronics and EV manufacturer, will address the issue through an over-the-air update.
